Join us for an evening fashion event.

This year, we have a design challenge that five women are participating in. Here is the challenge as sent to the following women, so please plan on attending and seeing what these women come up with. Vote on your favorite outfits and we will have a "Sewer's Choice Award". The outfits will be presented Saturday, February 13, 2010 from 6-7 pm at the Doubletree Hotel. Specific location will be posted Saturday at the expo. There is no charge to attend, but CHOCOLATES from See's candy's will be served.

The Scenario: Don't miss seeing the results, Saturday, Feb. 13, 2010 6 - 7 pm.
You have been invited to a wedding a little over one month in advance. You are flying on a commercial airline to the wedding and only one carry-on bag allowed so all outfits must fit into the one carry-on bag. You will need three outfits and no one outfit can be repeated. These are the three events that you have been invited to attend.

First day - Afternoon rehearsal brunch
Second day - Late afternoon wedding on the beach
Third day - Morning breakfast with out-of-town guests at the same hotel as the wedding.

The goal of this project is to have
fun and see where your imagination
can lead. Have fun and we are
all anxious to see the results!!

Rules you must incorporate:

1. One item you make from the fabrics must be visibly worn at all three events
2. One item must be reversible.
3. Some of all the fabrics must be used.
4. An additional $25 can be spent and will be reimbursed for anything purchased such as additional buttons, fabrics, etc.
5. All outfits must fit into the carry-on bag.
6. Patterns are free and unlimited from any one of the sponsors and ordered through the designer. Those patterns ordered must be used in the challenge. No other patterns may be used.
7. No additional fabric or items from personal stash allowed, only those items purchased
with the $25. ( see #4).

Outfits will be presented Saturday, early evening, at from 6-7 at the Doubletree hotel.
Patterns have been selected from:
1. Cynthia Guffey Designs - Cynthia Guffey
2. Barb's Originals -Barb Callahan
3. Peggy Sagers - Silhouette Patterns

Fabric has been supplied from the above names as well as from Super Textiles. Each of the designers received the same yardage with the exception from Super Textiles. They are able to choose one piece, up to 3 yards of any one color fabric. This choice can be whatever color fabric you would like to work with the rest of the fabrics.
