CRONE ART

These two artists, Pam W. Skersick and Carol Lockwood, business partners and sisters, are fairly new to the clothing design scene. As Carol explains, "My life has been divided into thirds. The first third I was a child and had my children; the second third I had a career; and now, this third is my time for personal creativity.Ó

That said, these two, one a former educator and the other a CPA, began by creating a clothing line five years ago. That was a good idea but not a great idea. The great idea was moving into the area of surface design and accessories. Now these two work in polymer clay to create one-of-a-kind buttons, embellishments, and accessories. They also work in fiber art and surface design.

"Making a personal statement by individualizing your wardrobe is one of the simplest, yet most dramatic and creative things a woman can do. That's the role of embellishments and accessories.Ó
